Living With Cancer: Our Stories

“Living With Cancer: Our Stories” is the first publication by CHIP Collective, a comics collective I co-founded with Catriona Laird, who also drew the front cover for this comic.

“Living With Cancer: Our Stories” came to be following the diagnosis of my mum’s brain cancer.

I created this project to inform people about different cancer types & treatments, while providing help & support to readers of the comics who may have had a personal experience with cancer. All proceeds from the sales of this book go to Cancer Research UK. You can purchase a copy from here. Find CHIP on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram.

On this page you can read my introductory comic, and my mum’s story that I illustrated about her battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme.

Working in: The Arts

“Working in: The Arts” is the second publication by CHIP Collective. WI:TA is a comic anthology featuring the stories of 9 currently practicing creatives in the professional fields of Animation, Comics, Games, Graphic Design, Illustration, Jewellery, Textiles, Photography and Fashion Photography. Each creative tells the reader of their journey to get into the arts, their highs, lows, and plenty of helpful advice for you or anyone you know how to break into the creative arts.

On this page you can read the project’s introductory comic, along with the comic I drew covering Angus Dunn’s story of working in Animation, and a single page comic where I talk about my own journey of working in comics professionally! The cover image was drawn by Cat Laird.

You can read more about the project and purchase it here.
